Does any one have a script to re-established a link from a single object?
Also, if anyone knows how to inactive the delete all links option or how to modify the tool to make sure that if a module is in use or can not be access to delete links to halt the program. Some users are using that method to delete links and if someone has it open in exclusive we can visually delete the link, but when trying to delete the object is not possible.
Any help will be appreciated.

As far as getting rid of the Delete All Links option, you'd have to modify the formal.dxl file on everyone's machine.
By in use do you mean someone has it open in shared or exclusive edit?

If you have captured the link information to some repository you can use a dxl script to read the repository. Else recreating manually may be the rule of the day.

What do you mean reestablish a link? Undelete it? We turn off link history here so I have never looked at it. I assume you can just read the history and check for a history record item of type "deleteLink". Past that I don't know what the history item is going to show. Perhaps the source/target ID + module + direction of the link that was deleted? If so you can recreate it.

I tried everything and I just get the same error.
Re-establishing(or recreate the link)apparently the link was deleted on previous version. I read once that a reference number was saved in the link modules that can be captured with DXL and with that number the link can be re-created.
